February 13-29: Filing Period for 2012 Elections
The two week filing period to run for office in the 2012 election opens at noon on February 13 and runs through noon on February 29.
To file for local offices or NC House and Senate, file at your local county Board of Elections.
To file for Council of State offices and US Congress, file at the State Board of Elections in Raleigh.
